This website is run by River Safari – Bentota by STT, operated by Shiran Travels and Tours Private Limited, 176/C, Kommala, Bentota 80500, Sri Lanka. This page explains what information we collect when you visit the site, message us or book a safari, and how we use it.
Cookies and analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics and Google Ads (through Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which pages are viewed and how many people tap our WhatsApp or booking buttons — and to measure our advertising. These tools set cookies and receive information such as your approximate location, device and the pages you visit. You can accept or decline in the cookie banner. To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will appear again.
Our WhatsApp buttons open a pre-written message in WhatsApp. Nothing is sent until you press send. When you message us, your conversation is handled by WhatsApp (Meta), and we use the details you share — such as your group size, date and hotel — only to answer your enquiry and arrange your safari.
Online booking
Online bookings are processed by our booking and payment provider inside its own secure window on this site. It collects the details needed for your booking and payment under its own privacy policy, and card details never pass through this website. We receive your booking details to run your safari.
Reviews
The reviews sections load our current guest reviews (from Google, Tripadvisor and Viator) through a review service when you scroll to them. That service and Google may receive technical information, such as your IP address, when the reviews and reviewer photos load.
How long we keep information
We keep booking records and messages only for as long as we need them to arrange your safari, answer questions afterwards and meet our legal and accounting obligations, and then delete them. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent at any time by messaging us on WhatsApp (+94 71 893 2155) or emailing info@riversafaribentota.com.
